Having trouble getting your Flash sound to work on your fully-functioning Ubuntu machine? Well, I did too. I chose this topic to discuss first, because it is a very simple fix and one that I had some trouble finding when I was in need. There are many fixes in Ubuntu depending on the release you are running and the hardware you are running it on. Here is the one that worked for me.
sudo apt-get install libflashsupport

About This Blog
What is this blog all about? My name is Jeremy and I am not a writer. I am a web developer that decided to give Ubuntu a chance as part of a dual boot system alongside Windows Vista to satisfy the geek in me. What I found was a completely different perspective on the way I live my computing life.
Windows Vista? We will save the standard Ubuntu vs. Windows Vista comparison for another day being that this is my first post. However, you can expect side by side comparisons throughout each post of these two operating systems as we determine empirically which is the better option.
Minimum experience required? This blog will begin with material that I found helpful when I was trying to setup Ubuntu for the first time. The goal of this blog is to create a central, easy to understand repository of information regarding the first-time setup and continued use and sustainability of Ubuntu Linux. The necessary background needed to understand and follow this blog will range from beginner to advanced. Every effort will be made to make the information easy to digest and to follow on your personal computer so you can discover and enjoy Ubuntu as well.
